FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Most faculty and staff at Northern Arizona University will see a pay increase this year.
The Arizona Daily Sun reports (https://bit.ly/2dqAnI8 ) that NAU President Rita Cheng told employees by email earlier this month that raises are being provided under a new merit-based system.
Cheng says staff members who meet expectations on their annual evaluations will receive a 2 percent base salary increase, but top performers will receive a larger amount. She wrote that faculty will receive a 1.5 percent salary increase if they’ve kept a satisfactory rating over the last three years, while exceptional faculty will receive additional money.
The president held a public forum on the pay raises, enrollment growth and other issues on Tuesday.
