GILA BEND, Ariz. (AP) - The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man tried to kidnap a 4-year-old girl from her family’s car in Gila Bend.
Sheriff’s officials say on Wednesday a man approached the car where the girl and her mother sitting and attempted to grab the girl. Officials say the suspect was possibly high on drugs.
Officials say the man fled and the girl was unharmed. The child’s father followed the man into a desert area.
Investigators are still searching for the suspect.
