Deadly house fire kills woman in north Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has died in a Springfield house fire.

KOLR-TV (https://bit.ly/2e9waHV ) reports that the fire started Wednesday night. Springfield Fire Chief David Hall says a passer-by and neighbor reported the blaze. Crews searched the home after bringing the fire under control and found a woman’s body.

The fire is under investigation.
