MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 53-year-old man is dead after a fire that fully engulfed a Mesa home.
Fire and police officials responded to the home on Saturday after receiving reports of a fire.
Witnesses reported seeing the man, identified as Manuel Anthony Garcia, attempting to put out the flames with an extinguisher. He was found dead in the back room of the house.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire but do not suspect foul play.
