MADBURY, N.H. (AP) - Police say a woman in a car parked on rail tracks was hit and killed by a passing freight train in Madbury, New Hampshire.

Police say 64-year-old Jacquelyn Rollins, of Dover, was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital early Tuesday.

They say the freight train was traveling north when it struck the parked vehicle directly on the driver’s side at about 2:30 a.m. The car was parked in a northwesterly direction across the tracks.



No other injuries were reported. The train operator was identified as 34-year-old Peter Glidden, of Carmel, Maine.

State police are investigating.
