TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man accused in a fatal hit-and-run accident last year has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison.

Pima County Superior Court officials say Joshua Ochoa was sentenced Monday to 10 ½ years on charges of manslaughter and endangerment.

He also must serve three years of probation after his prison term.

Prosecutors say Ochoa ran over 38-year-old Marisa Robles and her 11-year-old daughter on South Nogales Highway in September 2015.

Robles died at the scene while her daughter was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested Ochoa four miles to the south of the accident site.

Investigators say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
