Donald Trump’s business empire is running on dangerously outdated software that makes it easier for hackers to potentially gain access to crucial company emails, a security expert is warning, The Hill newspaper reported Tuesday.

Kevin Beaumont, a internet security expert from Liverpool, England, made his observations on Twitter Monday night, The Hill explained. “According to Beaumont, Trump is running Windows Server 2003, which Microsoft has not supported for more than a year.”

The operating system for the email server “is the one Clinton’s private email server run and she got in trouble for,” Mr. Beaumont said in a tweet.

“If you are still running Windows Server 2003 in your datacenter, you need to take steps now to plan and execute a migration strategy to protect your infrastructure,” Microsoft explains on its website.

The company ended support for the software on July 14, 2015, but gave corporate users months of lead time to prepare for upgrades, announcing the decision in Nov. 2014.

While there’s no evidence that Trump Organization emails have been hacked, the Trump Hotel Collection has suffered at least two credit-card data breaches in recent years, reaching a settlement with the New York Attorney General’s Office in September over allegations the company did not fulfill its legal requirements to promptly alert impacted customers.
