WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a 24-year-old man was killed when the car he was riding in went off a road in Westfield and hit a tree.
The Hampden District Attorney’s office says Justin Messier was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident late Saturday night on Russellville Road.
Messier, whose hometown was not released, was a passenger in a car driven by Nick Sanchez.
The 19-year-old Sanchez was taken to a Springfield hospital and is expected to survive.
The DA’s office says the investigation is continuing.
