In these times, one might desire the national pre-election dialogue to focus on the wise defense of our nation, the marshalling of tax dollars to actually repair or rebuild our infrastructure, the strengthening of our borders and the overhauling of our education system, which is infested by teachers’ unions and politically correct curricula. If nothing else, one would at least hope to able to raise the level of the discussion to matters of critical significance. But no. Our political poseurs find it easier to wallow in the pigsty where all the other lowest common denominators hang out.

Our Founders intended our government to provision a prudent, limited administration and a capable national defense — but low-brow politicians bent on self-enrichment and “legacy” building have commandeered it. The prospect of re-establishing efficient, effective national governance is dubious at best, given that government is and has been for some time actuated by sold-out, puffed-up, comic-book-like characters of the ’Club Dem.’

Now we’re obliged to slum along with the televised mud wrestle that is the Clinton-Trump match. Never mind that neither candidate is particularly bright or compelling. I do have to wonder why Donald Trump’s alleged past behavior toward women carries so much weight with the media. After all, in the wake of the disclosures of Bill Clinton’s assorted soirees in the Oval Office and elsewhere, we were instructed by the Democrats and their media peons that illicit sex doesn’t really matter. But with Mr. Trump, not so much. Even First Lady Michelle Obama gets on her duplicitous high horse, pronouncing the twerking Beyonce a role model for her daughters while offering only righteous disdain for the sinful Donald.

Guess you had better be ready with that other face in your back pocket if you’re going to roll with the Demomeds.
