LEWISTON, Maine (AP) - Maine Democratic congressional candidate Emily Cain is getting a financial boost from party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said Monday that Clinton is offering help to U.S. Senate, House and gubernatorial races across the country.
The Sun-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2e27hQV) nearly $250,000 is being offered to Cain and to a congressional candidate in Nebraska.
Cain is running against Republican U.S. rep. Bruce Poliquin.
The campaign in Maine’s sprawling 2nd Congressional District has been targeted from the outset, and both parties think they have a chance to win.
