EASLEY, S.C. (AP) - A teacher in Easley has been arrested after a student was assaulted earlier this month.
Police say 24-year-old Jordan Katherine McAbee of Easley was charged last week with third degree assault and battery.
Media outlets report that a warrant states that McAbee tied a juvenile’s hand to one of her shoes without the student’s consent on Oct. 5 at West End Elementary School.
Pickens County School District spokesman John Eby said McAbee no longer works for the district.
It was not clear if she has an attorney.
