GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale police say three people have died in separate traffic accidents in the last 24 hours.
Authorities say officers were called to 59th Avenue and Camelback Road just after 7:30 p.m. Friday for a collision.
Investigators say a car carrying four juveniles was hit by a truck while turning left.
Police say two passengers, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, were pronounced dead at a hospital. A third was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver’s condition was not immediately known.
The 27-year-old man driving the truck is being held for possible impairment.
Police say the second accident happened before 1 a.m. Saturday.
A motorcycle hit a curb, ejecting two occupants.
The 21-year-old female passenger died at the scene.
The man driving suffered serious injuries and is suspected of impairment.
