DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (AP) - Three men and two dogs have been rescued from a sinking boat near Dauphin Island.
The Coast Guard said in a news release Wednesday they received a report about the sinking vessel at 10:18 a.m.
A 45-foot response boat, a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from the New Orleans station and another helicopter from the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile were sent to the scene.
The Coast Guard says the response boat arrived at 10:30 a.m. to recover the men and the dogs from the water. They were transported back to Station Dauphin Island in stable condition.
