LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the Belmont Baptist Church fire last week.
The church’s pastor, the Rev. Mike Kidder, tells the Lincoln Journal Star (https://bit.ly/2dwRTXs ) that $2,500 has been put up by a former church member for the Lincoln-Lancaster County Crimestoppers reward.
Firefighters extinguished a fire at the church in the earlier morning hours of Oct. 3. They say a second fire later that night started in the sanctuary and was the result of arson.
The fires caused between $350,000 and $400,000 in damage.
