GRANTS, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say two people were killed in a collision after another driver’s car crossed the median of Interstate 40 near Grants.
State Police Sgt. Elizabeth Armijo says a driver and passenger in a westbound vehicle that collided with the cross-over car were killed in the wreck Tuesday night.
Armijo says police are investigating evidence that the driver of the cross-over car was under the influence at the time of the crash.
According to Armijo, the cross-over car was being driven erratically before the driver lost control and it entered the median, rolled and entered the westbound lanes and collided with the other vehicles.
Identities of the people killed were not released.
