ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say a man found dead in a traffic crash Tuesday may have had a medical problem.
An autopsy has been ordered for the driver who crashed head on just before 5 p.m. in east Anchorage.
Police say the man was driving a car south on Elmore Road and started making a right turn onto Dowling Road.
Instead of completing the turn, the driver drove into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with a sport utility vehicle.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police say two people in the SUV suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. They were taken to a hospital.
The name of the man who died has not been released.
