POND CREEK, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a 5-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a pickup truck on a private drive in northern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the incident happened Tuesday afternoon near Pond Creek in Grant County. A preliminary report says the boy was sitting on the private drive and was hit by a pickup truck driven by an 85-year-old man.

The boy was taken to an Enid hospital where he was pronounced dead.



Authorities say the driver of the truck wasn’t injured.
