NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Gov. Bill Haslam and the Delta Regional Authority are scheduled to announce new West Tennessee economic development investments on Wednesday.

The Republican governor and Authority Federal Co-Chairman Chris Masingill are expected to announce investments aimed at strengthening infrastructure, expanding cultural opportunities and supporting small businesses.

The Clarksdale, Mississippi-based Delta Regional Authority is a federal and state partnership aimed at bringing strategic investments to 252 counties and parishes in eight states ranging from Alabama to Illinois.



The announcement is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CDT at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville.
