SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say a San Tan Valley man has been arrested in connection with a fatal accident last weekend.

They say 46-year-old Jorge Cardenas Guerrero has been booked into county jail on suspicion of manslaughter, extreme DUI and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.

Authorities say 28-year-old Natasha Arellano of San Tan Valley was killed Saturday night.

Just prior to the collision, Arellano and three family members were involved in a non-injury accident and had pulled off the road to inspect the damage to the car.

Arellano was standing outside the car when authorities say a sedan allegedly driven by Guerrero hit her and didn’t stop.

Authorities say Arellano was dragged into the roadway and died at the scene.
