Sylvester Stallone’s 19-year-old half brother will have to undergo reconstructive surgery after two men viciously attacked him near the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee over the weekend, the actor told TMZ.

Dante Stallone told the Tallahassee Police Department he was walking near Stadium Drive about 3 a.m. Saturday when two men approached him and one punched him in the face, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Dante was able to get away and a friend took him to a local hospital, police said. The 19-year-old suffered a shattered jaw and a split palate, as well as broken and knocked out teeth, Sylvester told TMZ.

Dante will need reconstructive surgery and expected to spend several weeks in the hospital, TMZ reported.

“This is a wonderful young man, a straight-A student who would not cause any trouble,” Sylvester told TMZ. “It’s just so tragic and terribly sad.”

Police are still looking for the suspects, which were described as two black men. The first was possibly wearing jeans and is described as 5 foot 9 inches tall with a stocky build. The second is about 6 foot tall and was wearing a green shirt, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Anyone with information on the case should call TPD at (850) 891-4200 or CrimeStoppers at (850) 574-5477.

Dante is the son of Frank Stallone, Sr. and his fourth wife, Kathleen Rhodes.
