SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Deputies and school officials in South Carolina say they are investigating a social media threat that a clown will attack two Spartanburg County schools.

Spartanburg School District 6 posted the threat made on Instagram on its Twitter page Monday.

The poorly-written threat says a clown will shoot and stab people on “holloween” and also “coming to the spartanburg and the dorman football game this Friday with my clown friends n im attacking.”

Spartanburg County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Kevin Bobo says in a news release deputies are aware of the threat and working with the school district to identify the person who posted it.
