Police investigating body found near I-40 park-and-ride lot

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Cookeville are investigating the discovery of a man’s body at a park-and-ride lot.

The Cookeville Herald-Citizen (https://bit.ly/2ddmMCc ) reports the body was found Thursday near Interstate 40.

Cookeville police Maj. Carl Sells says the man had a gunshot wound and a gun was found near the body.

The man’s name wasn’t immediately released and the incident remains under investigation.
