AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) - A Cobb County police officer and three others were injured in a car crash over the weekend.

Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said in a statement that a vehicle turned in front of three police cars that were heading to a robbery call Saturday night, causing one of the police cars to slam into the side of the passenger vehicle in Austell.

Police say one officer hurt his knee, while two of the three people inside the passenger vehicle suffered facial injuries. All four were taken to a local hospital. Authorities did not release their conditions.
