ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Rochester say one man is dead and another is hospitalized after a fight broke out on the city’s southwest side.

Authorities say officers were investigating reports of a fight on West Main Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday when soon afterward a 26-year-old Rochester man was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital with stab wounds. That man later died at the hospital.

A second victim, a 21-year-old Rochester man, was taken to the same hospital for treatment of stab wounds. He’s expected to recover.

The names of the victims haven’t been released.

The investigation is continuing.
