LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say four hunters missing since the weekend have been found safe in a remote area of the Angeles National Forest.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials say a helicopter search crew hoisted two of the hunters out of the deep woods Tuesday evening. The remaining two were found nearby a short time later and were also hoisted to safety. All were unhurt.

Family members called police when the hunters didn’t return home as planned Sunday.

Officials say the four became disoriented while hunting and got lost.
