BROOKFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police say a New York man has died in an early-morning rollover crash in Brookfield.

Authorities say the crash occurred on the southbound side of Route 7 just before 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The SUV went out of control, left the roadway to the right, struck a tree, rolled over, and struck a second tree.

The drive and lone occupant, 23-year-old Reed Latrowski, of Rockville Centre, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was using a seat belt.

No other vehicles were involved.

A section of the highway was closed during the investigation but has since reopened.

The cause remains under investigation.
