MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - A Middletown man has been charged with critically injuring another man in a shooting two weeks ago that caused several car crashes.
Middletown police spokesman Capt. Michael Iglio says 22-year-old Dominique Ringgold was arrested Friday after investigators determined he shot a man multiple Oct. 25, causing him serious injuries.
Officers found the injured man after he crashed his vehicle near Delaware Route 299 while trying to flee the shooting. Authorities say the victim caused multiple crashes while driving away. Everyone involved with the crashes has since been released from the hospital.
Ringgold is charged with first-degree assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
