LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials say a hiker became trapped in a canyon about 40 miles south of Las Vegas.
The Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2efrfGX ) that Las Vegas police Lt. Grant Rogers say reports came in about a missing or trapped hiker in Keyhole Canyon just after 4 p.m. Sunday. The Search and Rescue unit responded and was working to free the man Sunday night.
Rogers says the man was trapped by ropes near a dried-out waterfall.
Keyhole Canyon is about halfway between Boulder City and Searchlight in southern Clark County.
