ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police say a motorist has been killed in a car crash in northern Vermont.

Police say a car went off the road and hit a tree near the intersection of Route 36 and the Lapan Road in the town of St. Albans. The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday.

WCAX-TV reports that the driver’s identity has not been released.



The cause of the accident was under investigation.
