LISBON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a man is custody after he allegedly hit a woman walking along a highway with a pick-up truck and then fled the scene.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was arrested Friday. Formal charges are pending in the case.

Authorities say 44-year-old Ilina Valkova was walking along the highway near Lisbon when she was hit from behind. Officials say investigators identified the suspect and arrested him without incident in Cooperstown.

Authorities say the man had concealed his truck after the crash at a different location.
