PONCA, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is celebrating a day of fun and education at Ponca State Park in northeast Nebraska.

Equipment is available for an introductory archery course scheduled to this Saturday morning. At 1 p.m., Critter Corner will introduce people to wildlife found along the Missouri River.

An outdoor cooking class at 3 p.m. will show participants how to cook treats in a Dutch oven over a campfire.



A park permit is required of each vehicle entering the park. There are fees for some activities.

The park sits about a mile north of Ponca in Dixon County.
