SALEM, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old Salem girl has been missing since Monday, but there’s no sign of foul play.
Giselle Maldonado vanished from McKay High School after her first class Monday. Her mother Evelia Serrato tells the Statesman Journal (https://is.gd/cSkWEX) there’s no surveillance footage of her daughter leaving school and her daughter’s cellphone and social media accounts have been inactive, which is very unusual.
Serrato says her daughter acted normal when being dropped off at school Monday, and the girl’s ex-boyfriend and current boyfriend had no information about her whereabouts.
Lt. Dave Okada of the Salem Police Department says police took a runaway report.
Maldonado is described as being 5-foot-5, with brown eyes and brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and new Converse sneakers.
