JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee Resort in northwest Wyoming will open for the season on Thursday.

The announcements follow a weekend that saw 22 inches of snow fall on the Teton Range between Saturday and early Monday morning.

A lack of snow and unseasonably warm temperatures had delayed their planned openings.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s opening comes one week after the resort’s planned opening of Nov. 24. Targhee had originally planned opening day on Nov. 18.

Snow King Mountain General Manager Ryan Stanley told the Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://bit.ly/2gFsX2b ) that it is still expected to open Saturday as originally scheduled.
