OLNEY, Ill. (AP) - Funeral arrangements have been announced for an 8-year-old Olney girl who was found dead last week.

A visitation for Sabrina Stauffenberg is set for Thursday afternoon and a funeral service will be Friday morning at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

The child’s body was found last Wednesday behind a vinegar plant on the south side of Olney, a town in southeastern Illinois of about 9,000 people. Relatives told authorities they last saw her waiting on her front porch for a ride to church.

First-degree murder and predatory criminal sexual assault charges have been filed against 53-year-old Glenn R. Ramey of Olney in connection with the girl’s death.

An obituary describes the girl as a “kind and friendly” third-grader who “loved doing crafts and playing with her dolls.”
