CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Natrona County School District is closing a Casper elementary school in hopes of cutting costs.
The district’s Board of Trustees on Monday voted to close Grant Elementary School after a study found the campus ranked poorly in terms of building conditions, maintenance needs, special programming and other criteria.
District officials met with parents last week to help them decide where to send their children next year.
The school’s 33 staff members will be transferred to other schools.
