EFFINGHAM, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say they are investigating a fatal shooting in Effingham.

The state attorney general says 63-year-old Robert Dishman died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center from injuries sustained during an incident at his home around 11 a.m. Monday.

An autopsy determined that Dishman died from a single gunshot wound to the chest and that the shooting was a homicide.

Authorities say no arrests have been made but it does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the public.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact New Hampshire State Police at (603) 223-8849.
