HELPER, Utah (AP) - One person was killed and another injured when a truck left the road and plunged nearly 200 feet down a cliff in Consumers Canyon over the weekend.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Donald Winter.
The Deseret News reports (https://tinyurl.com/jjbv4jx) the second victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Castleview Hospital but is expected to survive.
Carbon County emergency services specialist Whitney Waterfall says the truck went off the cliff near Beaches Road at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday. She says a preliminary investigation indicates the winter weather conditions played a role in the crash.
