President Obama and President-elect Donald Trump have spoken privately at least once since their initial meeting after the election, the White House confirmed Tuesday.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest wouldn’t say what they discussed, but he confirmed they have spoken since Mr. Trump met with Mr. Obama in the Oval Office on Nov. 10.
“President Obama has committed to a smooth transition, and as a result they’ve spoken at least once” since their first meeting, Mr. Earnest said.
After their first meeting, both men expressed the desire to confer regularly about the transition.
