Donald Trump’s former campaign manager said Tuesday that former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani “could be” the next secretary of state.
“He certainly is a very close adviser of President-elect Trump’s,” Kellyanne Conway, who is now part of the presidential transition team, said on NBC’s “Today” program.
“The mayor has [an] enormous skill set — would be an excellent member of the cabinet, and that’s where I’ll leave it,” she said.
The Associated Press reported Tuesday that Mr. Giuliani has “emerged as the favorite” for the job, with John Bolton, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, also in the running.
