LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say no structures are threatened by a 25-acre wildfire in the Angeles National Forest above foothill communities of Los Angeles.

The fire broke out around 5:20 a.m. Monday just north of the Tujunga neighborhood and quickly spread uphill through brushy ridges. It’s 50 percent contained.

Crews using water-dropping aircraft protected horse ranches and remote homes in the rugged area as flames moved to the southeast. Several roads are closed.

Another round of Santa Ana winds is expected to increase fire danger across the region this week.
