2 men sitting in a car in Providence struck by gunfire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Two men who were sitting in a car in Providence have been struck by gunfire.

WPRI-TV reports that the two were in a car in front of a home near Morning Star Row and Friendship Street when someone came out and fired several shots at them.

The shooting occurred Saturday afternoon.

Police said the one of the victims was hit in the leg, and that neither man’s injuries were life-threatening.

Investigators believe the shooting was the result of an argument and was not a random act.

The two were not identified.
