ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - A counselor for a private after-school program in Montgomery County is facing charges after being accused of inappropriately touching a 5-year-old girl.

Montgomery County police said Thursday that 21-year-old Raul Ramos of Silver Spring has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor and three counts of third-degree sexual offense.

Ramos worked for the “Kids After Hours” program at Flower Valley Elementary School in Rockville.

Police say between Aug. 29 and Oct. 31, Ramos inappropriately touched the child more than once while playing tag on the playground and inside the school.

The after-school program is not run by Montgomery County Public Schools.

It’s immediately unclear if Ramos has an attorney.
