BELMONT, N.H. (AP) - Police in Belmont, New Hampshire, say an officer who fired multiple gunshots while attempting to arrest a man last month during a traffic stop has been placed on administrative leave.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2eNw3BR) the officer tried to arrest a 24-year-old man on a warrant for failing to appear in court on Oct. 25. The man drove off, allegedly dragging the officer with his car.

The officer fired his weapon in the direction of the man’s car. Police said he wasn’t struck.

The man, identified as Hayden Moon, had not been found as of Thursday. He’s wanted on charges of reckless conduct and resisting arrest.
