SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police are looking for a man in a Halloween costume accused of raping a University of Utah student in a campus parking lot.
University of Utah Police Sgt. Garth Davis says the woman was walking to her car near the Merrill engineering Building on Monday afternoon when an armed man wearing a Grim Reaper-style mask forced her into the back seat of her car and assaulted her.
Davis says the assailant then fled the area on foot.
After the woman’s report, campus officials notified faculty and students of the incidents via text message and social medial.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact campus police.
