OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A northeast Nebraska man who stole from a casino in Winnebago has been ordered to pay more than $12,000 in restitution.

The Sioux City (Iowa) Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2ev23be ) that Mark Hannan, of South Sioux City, also was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Omaha to five years of probation. In August he’d pleaded guilty to theft by an employee of a gaming establishment on Indian lands.

Court documents say that from Nov. 1, 2015, through Feb. 15 this year, Hannan stole the money while working at the Native Star Casino, which is owned and operated by the Winnebago Indian Tribe of Nebraska.
