ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police continue to seek information about a weekend fire that caused significant damage to playground equipment at an elementary school.

Fire and police officials responded to the fire early Friday night at Gladys Wood Elementary School in west Anchorage.

Fire officials say the large fire under equipment could have been set intentionally.

Anchorage School District spokeswoman Heidi Embley says the district estimates the replacement cost at $125,000 or more.
