OPINION:
I read with great interest James Zumwalt’s recent op-ed, “Obama’s Nordic nonsense” (Web, June 7). The piece relates President Obama’s recent comment that if Nordic countries controlled the world, “they could clean things up.” Mr. Zumwalt points out how ridiculous this statement is by enumerating the many problems those countries are dealing with as a result of mass Muslim immigration. He writes, “In all five Nordic countries, Muslim immigration has been a total disaster. Immigration in Sweden has made it the rape capital of the world.”
Also hugely problematic in these nations is growing anti-Semitism, the high cost of welfare and job training, and a plethora of other issues. The Muslim population refuses to assimilate and even proclaims their intention to change their host countries into Islamic nations.
Mr. Zumwalt attributes Mr. Obama’s remark to his naivete or “ignorance,” but I think it is something else. After observing Mr. Obama’s policies, pronouncements and actions over two terms as president — and knowing that he relies on advice from the Muslim Brotherhood — I believe he welcomes the idea of the Nordic nations evolving into Islamic states. I am convinced Mr. Obama’s Islamic roots, going back to his early life living as a Muslim in Indonesia, have convinced him that world peace will come after we comply with what “the Holy Koran teaches us” (his words).
