Hillary Clinton and President Obama over the weekend solicited donations by offering supporters the chance to win two free tickets to the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton.”

“I’m saving a seat for two supporters like you at ’Hamilton,’” the former first lady said in an email to supporters. “Don’t miss this chance! I’ve really been looking forward to this, and I want you to be there.”

Supporters can enter the contest simply by entering their name and email address on Mrs. Clinton’s website. But they can be entered a second time if they contribute to the Clinton campaign.

The giveaway also includes round-trip airfare and one night’s stay at New York City hotel.

On Sunday, President Obama also promoted the contest in an email on behalf of the Clinton campaign and spoke of his admiration for the show’s star, Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“In seven short years, ’Hamilton’ has gone from a spark in Lin-Manuel’s brilliant mind to a landscape-changing, genre-reinventing, revolutionary piece of musical theater,” the president said in the email, which again urges supporters to enter the contest and donate to the Clinton campaign.

I have to admit I’ve seen it twice — we’ve invited the cast to perform at the White House and even introduced the show at the Tonys,” Mr. Obama continued. “You could say that Michelle and I are superfine.”
