President Obama will speak Tuesday at a memorial service in Dallas for the five police officers who were killed by a sniper last week.

At the invitation of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, the president speak at an interfaith memorial service at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in the city, the White House said Sunday.

Mr. Obama cut short a trip to Europe Sunday to return to the U.S. after the shootings.
