WASHINGTON (AP) — Transit officials say train service has resumed in and out of Washington’s Union Station. Trains had been halted temporarily Wednesday because of a fire on the tracks north of the station.

Maryland transit officials say trains will move slowly past the fire location, and commuters are being told to expect major delays.

Virginia transit officials say the fire was electrical in nature. Virginia Railway Express trains are also being delayed.
